URBAN THINKERS CAMPUS 9.0: Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology, School of Building &Environment has partnered

Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology, School of Building & Environment has partnered with World Urban Campaign (An initiative by UN-HABITAT) to host "Veedum Makkalum", an Urban Thinkers Campus 9.0 through the months of July to September 2024.

The UTC is conceived as an open forum for critical exchange between various stakeholders under the theme of #housingmatters by conducting various activities and sessions such as Immigrant Housing, PassivHaus, Landscape and Housing, Garbage Disposal and segregation awareness among informal settlements etc.

We are planning for "Veedum Makkalum" to culminate in an Urban Thinkers Conclave, a Round Table Discussion / Fireside Chat featuring various urban stakeholders, ranging from policymakers, senior citizens, youth and architects to discuss various interventions and strategies that can bring about a positive impact within urban communities, in mid September 2024.

This will help align with the UN-HABITAT's Agenda: "Together Shaping the Future of Cities: Leaving No One Behind".
