urbaMonde: Second North American Hub of the Co-Habitat Network

This October 1-4, over 500 affordable housing professionals and activists gathered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for Grounded Solutions Network's 2018 Intersections conference. The conference included the largest gathering of CLTs worldwide, and for the second time it also served as the North American Hub of the Co-Habitat Network, which is a global network of community-led housing organizations and allies that are working together to implement housing rights through collective, non-speculative, and people-led solutions.

In connection with the Co-Habitat Network, several internationally focused events were added to the schedule in order to enhance understanding of the global affordable housing crisis as well as find joint solutions or ways to act in solidarity through peer exchange and partnership. International events included:

-A gathering of the newly established Center for Community Land Trust Innovation, which has a mission to help the CLT model grow globally- and particularly across the Global South, as well as apply the model to non-housing sectors including urban agriculture.
