AARDE Foundation: CELEBRATING NATURE-CULTURE LINKAGES on World Wetlands Day

Celebrating NATURE-CULTURE linkages at PULICAT lagoon on 02-FEB-2019 as our 8th Annual World Wetlands Day. The day is celebrated to glorify the natural and built heritage of second largest water body in India. The lagoon cover an area of 759sq.km, and balances the water of Buckingham Canal for 802km long parallel to Bay of Bengal coast. The day has many activities to sensitize inhabitants and visitors, including traditional catamaram race, ecology-quiz for school children, and folklore musical programs.
